Life Link III announces new base in Duluth, Minnesota
US-based air ambulance provider Life Link III has announced plans for a new base at Minnesota’s Duluth International Airport
The announcement follows the unanimous approval by the Duluth Airport Authority Board of the proposed development, as well as a 15-year lease for the site.
Construction on the site is due to begin this year, with completion anticipated for late 2025 or early 2026.
The base will include a new purpose-built hangar to support both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft operations, as well as indoor patient transfer capabilities.
The facility will be used to strengthen air medical transport services in Minnesota’s northeastern Arrowhead region.
Zimbabwe’s Helidrive National Air Rescue Service also recently announced plans to open a new base, at Victoria Falls.
