Life Link III names new President and CEO
Shane Farmer will take on both roles at the air medical provider from the end of July
US-based nonprofit air medical operator Life Link III has named Shane Farmer as its new President and CEO, effective from 31 July.
Farmer most recently served as a Managing Partner at Directed Health Consulting, and was also Senior Vice President for Medical Operations at CSI Aviation until December 2025.
He brings 25 years of experience to the role, having previously held leadership roles at organizations such as PHI Air Medical, Air Methods, and Intuitive Health, and beginning his career as a flight paramedic serving children’s hospitals.
Farmer is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, and has earned both his Doctor of Healthcare Administration and Master of Healthcare Administration from Oklahoma State University.
In his new role, Farmer will work closely with Life Link III’s board of directors and its nine member health systems.

Elsewhere, the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust and the New Zealand Flying Doctor Trust recently appointed Anton Drazevic as CEO.
