LifeNet South Carolina relocates base
US-based air ambulance provider LifeNet South Carolina, a subsidiary of Air Methods, has announced the relocation of its LifeNet 3 base
The base, formerly located at the campus of the Medical University of South Carolina – Orangeburg, has now moved to a new location next to the Orangeburg County Fire District and Training Center.
LifeNet has assured residents of Orangeburg County and the surrounding areas that the service area covered by the base remains unchanged following the move.
The new base features a new helipad and crew housing, while its more central location offers better access to the I-26 and I-95 highways, and will allow LifeNet 3 to offer greater support to firefighting and emergency medical services (EMS) partners.
“We are sad to leave MUSC Orangeburg after 17 years,” said Patrick Lamontagne, Account Executive with Air Methods. “However, we are not moving far, and will continue providing exceptional critical care to our community that we have served for all these years. The only thing changing is our location.”
Jason Bober, Area Manager at Air Methods, added: “We are excited to begin this new chapter at LifeNet Orangeburg, and we look forward to continuing our great relationship with Orangeburg EMS, Orangeburg County Fire District and the surrounding counties.”
Air Methods exited Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year following a successful restructuring.
