MD Helicopters forms authorized service center council

MD Helicopters has formed an authorized service center council representing its 40-member network in an effort to strengthen customer support for its global fleet.

The council aims to bring the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) closer to its network members, allowing more frequent communication, review, and discussion of policy changes, and a stronger understanding of customer needs.

In partnership with MD Helicopters, the council will also establish new policies, pricing, procedures, and products that are in the best interest of supporting the fleet.

The inaugural class of council members are:

• Thoroughbred Aviation – Kentucky, USA
• EM Heli-Logistics – British Columbia, Canada
• SAS – Belgium
• Mt Hutt Aviation – New Zealand
• Summit Helicopters – Virginia, USA
• Mid Pacific Aero Services – Hawaii, USA.

The six-member council will meet four times a year, with one of those meetings being in person. Meetings will start in Q3 of 2023.
