Mercy Flight reaches 30,000 air ambulance flights

Buffalo, New York-based air ambulance service Mercy Flight has announced that it has completed its 30,000th air ambulance patient mission.

The company also reported that it has now reached over 100,000 patient interactions provided by its ground ambulance crews since the inception of its Mercy Flight EMS ambulance service in 2009.

The service, founded in 1981, provides emergency and non-emergency medical transport and support services across western New York, northwestern Pennsylvania and parts of southeastern Canada.

It operates a mixed fleet of Bell 429 and AStar 350 B2 helicopters, as well as a Lear Jet 31 fixed wing aircraft. In addition, provider operates a ground fleet of standard and specialist ambulances.
