Metro has announced new roles at its headquarters in Shreveport, Louisiana, including John Vance as the Assistant Director of Operations

John served as a pilot in the Army for seven years and joined the Metro family a decade later as a Check Airman. He has been with Metro for 15 years, most recently as the southern region's regional aviation manager.

Metro is a Shreveport-based company that operates air medical helicopter services for hospitals and customizes new helicopters for a variety of missions.

“Metro’s success would not be possible without our people,” said Metro Aviation Director of Operations Brian Bihler. “We’re fortunate to have such skilled professionals already here within the family who are willing to take on new roles. I’m looking forward to the continued progress these changes will mean for the company and our customers.”

Casey LeBrun, former Acadian Ambulance Aviation Site Manager, will move into the role of Regional Aviation Manager for the southern region, allowing Christian Fisher to assume the role of Interim Aviation Site Manager at the Acadian Program while a permanent Site Manager for the program is identified.

Metro has also made changes in the Chief Pilot roles. Glen Girard, an eight-year Metro veteran, and current Standards and Compliance Officer will serve as the Interim Fixed Wing Chief Pilot. Wells Cornette, current Assistant Chief Pilot, will serve as the Rotor Wing Chief Pilot.
