Helicopter leasing company Milestone Aviation Group Limited will provide three AW139 helicopters to Thai Aviation Services (TAS)

TAS is a privately-owned helicopter operator based in Thailand. For over three decades, TAS has been an air operator providing helicopter service for the offshore operations of oil and gas companies throughout the Southeast Asia region.

The three AW139 helicopters from Milestone will be used to support a multi-year contract recently awarded to TAS, together with its partner Helistar, an oil and gas company in Malaysia. Delivering in February 2022, the helicopters will be based in Malaysia and will commence missions shortly thereafter.

Helping to provide offshore services in Thailand

Suwanawat Koeworakul, Managing Director at TAS, said: “We are delighted to expand the TAS fleet with the agreement to lease these three AW139 helicopters from Milestone. TAS’ existing relationship with Milestone is strengthened by the addition of these aircraft. The three AW139’s will help us meet our obligations in providing offshore service for our customers in Thailand, with our partner Helistar in Malaysia.”

Michael York, Head of Emerging Markets at Milestone, added: “The Milestone team’s level of commitment ensures that we were able to rapidly modify and provide these three AW139 helicopters to TAS. We are pleased to continue Milestone’s deep commitment to TAS and support their oil and gas missions in Malaysia.”

The Milestone AW139 fleet is deployed globally across a variety of missions, including oil and gas, emergency medical services,l enforcement, and search and rescue.

A few years ago, Milestone Aviation Group delivered the first two of four Airbus H135 helicopters to ADAC Luftfahrt Technik in Germany.
