Milestone to lease two AW139s to Lufttransport
The Milestone Aviation Group has signed a lease agreement with Lufttransport for the provision of two Leonardo AW139 helicopters
The two aircraft are scheduled for delivery to the Norwegian helicopter operator in 2025.
The AW139 is capable of cruise speeds of 306km/h, with a range of 1,187km and a maximum endurance of 5hrs 38mins.
It follows Lufttransport’s recent receipt of a five-year contract by energy firm Equinor to provide search and rescue services to the Troll and Oseberg offshore oil and gas fields from early 2026, using a fleet of two AW139s.
“We are very pleased to welcome Lufttransport as a new customer and to support their growing multi-mission operations,” said Sébastien Moulin, Milestone’s Head of Europe and Americas.
Erlend Olsen, CEO of Lufttransport, returned the welcome, adding that “the AW139 is an extremely capable aircraft”, and that his company “look forward to a long and successful relationship” with Milestone.
