The AW139s are configured for search and rescue missions and will support UK operations

The Milestone Aviation Group, the global helicopter leasing company, announced that it has signed purchase and leaseback agreements with Bristow Group, the global provider of innovative and sustainable vertical flight solutions, for two new Leonardo AW139 helicopters.

The aircraft, which were recently delivered to Bristow, are configured for search and rescue (SAR) missions and will support its operations in the UK.

“We are very pleased to strengthen our long-term partnership with Bristow through the lease of these two new state-of-the-art AW139s,” said Pat Sheedy, the CEO of Milestone. “We are proud to support their efforts and wish them every success as they continue to expand their fleet and strengthen lifesaving SAR operations across the UK.”

“We appreciate Milestone’s support as we continue to transition the aircraft and capabilities needed to deliver vital SAR services in the UK,” said Alan Corbett, Bristow’s Chief Operating Officer for Government Services.

Earlier this year, Bristow and Sikorsky signed a long-term S-92 fleet agreement.
