Milestone strengthens partnership with Safran with new framework agreement
The agreement aims to simplify the transition of Safran-powered aircraft between lessees and ensure Milestone has access to best-in-class asset management services
Milestone Aviation has signed a framework agreement with Safran Helicopter Engines, the global manufacturer.
As part of the agreement, Milestone will continue to promote to its lessees Safran’s Support-by-the-Hour program, which protects residual value, controls engine maintenance costs, eliminates cash peaks and offers a wide variety of technical expertise options.
Speaking at European Rotors 2024, Pat Sheedy, the Chief Executive Officer of Milestone Aviation, said: “For more than a decade, Milestone and Safran Helicopter Engines have worked closely and this agreement further strengthens the partnership between our two companies. We look forward to building on this relationship, made possible through this first-of-its-kind agreement.”
Cédric Goubet, CEO of Safran Helicopter Engines, said: “We are delighted with this increasingly solid relationship with Milestone, a major lessor in the helicopter industry. This agreement will streamline the transfer of helicopters, bring a great deal of added value to Milestone’s activities and support their Safran-powered fleet, as well as reinforce our by-the-hour services in direct support of the end users.”
Earlier this year Milestone Aviation leased two AW169 helicopters to Northern Rescue Helicopter.
