New Airbus H125 for Baltimore County Police Department
The aircraft, supplied by Davenport Aviation, will be fitted with relevant equipment by Metro Aviation, ahead of delivery in October 2027
Baltimore County Police Department (BCoPD), in the US state of Maryland, has placed an order with aircraft supplier Davenport Aviation for a new Airbus H125.
The aircraft will be the second H125 to be purchased by the police department through Davenport, and will replace an older AS350 B3 currently in service.
BCoPD currently operates a fleet of three Airbus helicopters to support its public safety mission. With the completion of this latest order, two of the aircraft will be modernized to the H125 platform.
The department’s aviation unit supports a range of mission types, including routine patrol, search and rescue, command and control, and emergency response.
The new H125 is expected to offer updated technology, proven performance, and mission flexibility for demanding airborne law enforcement and public safety missions.
Mission equipment integration and aircraft completion will be performed by Metro Aviation at its site in Shreveport, Louisiana. The completed aircraft is anticipated to be delivered to the BCoPD in October 2027.
Elsewhere in the USA, the Phoenix Police Department recently placed an order for a new Airbus H145.
