New CSAR training contract announced

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. has announced that it will be providing helicopter aerial gunnery training for the Swedish Armed Forces.

National Security Solutions provider Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc., which is headquartered in San Diego, California, US, has announced that it has been awarded a contract to provide helicopter aerial gunnery training for the Swedish Armed Forces.

Kratos said its Aircrew Training Center incorporates virtual reality and projection aircrew training devices to train warfighters in the skills needed for mission readiness, including aerial gunnery, search and rescue hoist training, and cargo sling operations.

Trainees will use multiple aircrew training devices within the KATC to train on techniques and procedures in basic firing, scanning, situational awareness, crew co-ordination, target acquisition, and rescue hoist and cargo sling operations in various all-weather environments, said the firm.
