New H135 for Thames Valley Air Ambulance
Thames Valley Air Ambulance has unveiled its new, fully-owned H135 helicopter, replacing one of the same type leased from Babcock International
It follows the award of an Air Operator Certificate to the HEMS charity by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in September, which allowed it to bring its flight operations in-house for the first time.
According to the BBC, the helicopter was bought from Devon Air Ambulance and will be based at RAF Benson in Oxfordshire.
Thames Valley Air Ambulance serves Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. It receives no government funding and relies entirely on donations.
