New Managing Director of ADAC Heliservice

Ulrich Amersdorffer succeeds Steffen Lutz after three and a half years in the role

ADAC Heliservice GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of the non-profit ADAC Luftrettung, has announced that Ulrich Amersdorffer has taken over as Managing Director. He started in the role on 1 November.

Amersdorffer has many years of experience in management positions in the aviation industry. From 2006 to 2016, he worked for the Airbus subsidiary now called Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH, most recently as Vice President, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO). After a short period as CEO of Motorflug Baden-Baden GmbH, Amersdorffer moved to the Airbus subsidiary Premium AEROTEC GmbH in 2016 and was Vice President, Head of Site Augsburg. His most recent position was Vice President Sales, Aftersales and Marketing at Premium AEROTEC GmbH since September 2020.

Frédéric Bruder, Managing Director of ADAC Luftrettung, said: “With the change in management, we are continuing on our course of quality and growth. At this point, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Steffen Lutz, who has played a key role in the company’s success in recent years.

“We are pleased to have gained Ulrich Amersdorffer, a proven expert in the aviation industry, and with his expertise, we will continue to meet the high demands of the air rescue service in terms of service and safety at the highest level.”

ADAC Luftrettung recently celebrated 35 years of rescue operations for its Christoph 31 helicopter.
