New name for UK-based Children’s Air Ambulance
The rebrand is intended to better reflect the service’s nationwide operations as a provider of pediatric interfacility transfers
The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS), a charity which operates three UK-based air ambulance services, has announced a new name for its paediatric transfer service.
The service, currently called the Children’s Air Ambulance, will be rebranded as the National Children’s Air Ambulance (NCAA), to reflect its UK-wide operations.
The new name coincides with a refreshed logo and brand identity, as well as a redesigned website. TAAS stated that the aim is to create a “stronger, more unified brand that resonates with supporters, and builds awareness of the charity’s vital work”.
What is now the NCAA has carried out rapid inter-hospital pediatric transfers across the UK for over a decade, since its first patient transfer in 2013.
“We are incredibly proud to unveil our new look and to rename our children’s transfer service as the National Children’s Air Ambulance,” said Peta Wilkinson, CEO at TAAS. “This change reflects the true scale and impact of our work, delivering lifesaving, specialist transfers for babies and children across the whole of the UK.”
Wilkinson added: “As the charity moves forward with this new identity, its mission remains the same – to continue to deliver lifesaving care locally and to make sure every sick child gets the fastest, safest transfer and care possible when they need it most.”
Blade Air Mobility, a firm that provides air transportation and logistics for hospitals across the USA, also recently changed its name to Strata Critical Medical.
