TCCA-B505-BASKET DART Aerospace

This is the latest in DART’s line of baskets for other helicopter models

DART Aerospace has announced it has received a new Transport Canada Civil Aviation supplemental type certificate (STC) for the external cargo Heli-Utility-Basket, specifically tailored for the Bell 505 aircraft.

The Bell 505 helicopter is used for various special missions, such as utility, public safety and helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS), among others.

DART is also currently pursuing Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) validation.

This latest basket joins DART’s line of existing Heli-Utility-Baskets for helicopter models such as the Airbus H125, Bell 407, Robinson R66, and Leonardo AW119, as well as other models for helicopters manufactured by Airbus, Bell, Leonardo and Robinson.

The Bell 505 Heli-Utility-Basket features quick and easy installation, allowing operators to externally carry skis, cargo hooks, tools and equipment, and a variety of other items safely.

Safety is enhanced with a simple self-locking handle that assures lid closure and secures cargo during flight. A gas spring is utilized to ease lid opening and closing.
