Norwegian Air Ambulance has ordered three H135s and two H145s from manufacturer Airbus

The aircraft will be used by Norwegian Air Ambulance to conduct lifesaving missions in Denmark – the operator recently won a contract to provide helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) in the country following a tender.

“The H135 and the five-bladed H145 have proven to be very versatile and suitable helicopters for our HEMS operations,” said Leif Olstad, CEO of Norwegian Air Ambulance. “With the new helicopters we will continue to serve the people of Denmark and Norway with state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the best service possible.”

It follows a previous announcement at European Rotors that Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) would supply Norwegian Air Ambulance with five cockpit modifications and 14 sets of night vision goggles.

Norwegian Air Ambulance is also expecting to take delivery of two more H145s in 2024 to expand its fleet in Norway – those two aircraft were ordered in March of this year.
