Four New York Police Department (NYPD) divers took to the waters from a NYPD helicopter after four people were left stranded on a beach In New York.
NYPD’s Aviation unit was called to Breezy Point Beach on 9 September after a pickup truck got stuck in high tides. After deploying from a chopper, the divers found three men and a woman trapped inside the truck. They had allegedly driven out onto the beach to go fishing.
All three were rescued from the truck and brought to shore by the rescue divers. They were initially examined by emergency responders on the scene but refused any further medical examination.
