They will combine expertise and resources to deliver safety, rescue and medical training

Cresto Group has announced the merger of two specialist training companies, Outreach Rescue and Outreach Rescue Medic Skills (ORMS) into a single entity under the name Outreach Rescue.

With this merger, the companies will bring together their expertise and resources to deliver better safety, rescue and medical training to a range of organizations, including emergency service crews.

From 2 October 2023, the two companies will become Outreach Rescue and the new company will continue to be led by Ian Jones, Managing Director.

The new-look Outreach Rescue will offer a range of specialist courses, including Water Safety and Rescue, Rope Rescue, Industrial Height Safety, Confined Space, Casualty Management, First Response Emergency Care, and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support.

Next year, Outreach Rescue will also offer Global Wind Organisation (GWO) certified training to wind turbine engineers, enabling them to provide comprehensive safety training to professionals in the wind energy industry.

Jones said: “The merger of our two companies into a revamped Outreach Rescue is a significant step for us. It allows us to combine our skills and experience to offer an even broader range of courses and services to our customers.”

In terms of leadership, Greg Cain will continue in his role as Technical Training Manager, overseeing the delivery of technical courses. Haf Thomas will serve as Operations Manager, responsible for the effectiveness and quality assurance of Outreach Rescue training. Ian Thomas, with a career as a Paramedic and in medical tuition, will serve as Medical Education Manager.
