OzRunways and TracPlus collaborate to deliver EFB-based global messaging
TracPlus Global and OzRunways have agreed to deliver global airborne messaging using OzRunways EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) and TracPlus’ portable RockAIR tracker
New Zealand-based TracPlus Global and OzRunways have agreed to deliver global airborne messaging using OzRunways EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) and TracPlus’ portable RockAIR tracker – as part of the deal, OzRunways users will be able to send and receive text messages globally using the Iridium satellite network and cellular networks. By pairing OzRunways with the RockAIR tracker, the popular moving map application will also support new collaboration and coordination tools being developed by TracPlus.
“We’re delighted to be working with OzRunways to showcase our Globally Connected Cockpit philosophy,” said Chris Hinch, Chief Innovation Officer at TracPlus. “For thousands of pilots, OzRunways is the preferred tool in the cockpit, so instead of writing yet another app for pilots to juggle, it made much more sense to help OzRunways talk to the RockAIR.”
“We’re excited to provide this new capability to OzRunway customers,” Bas Scheffers, Managing Director of OzRunways commented. “Many of our emergency services and fleet customers already use TracPlus, so with this partnership we can deliver them exciting new communications features and services in OzRunways using the RockAIR.”
