PAC International completes repaint of second Michigan State Police Huey

Paradigm Aerospace Corporation (PAC) International has announced that it has completed an exterior refurbishment on a second Bell UH-1H ‘Huey’ helicopter on behalf of Michigan state police.
The aircraft, which is used for law enforcement support and search and rescue, was stripped of all existing paint using a soft media blast booth, before the aircraft underwent repairs to corrosion and dents to the bodywork. The helicopter was then painted with an Imron Polyurethane base coat and clear coat, as well as a new police badge and lettering.
Michigan State Police’s Aviation Unit, which works alongside Michigan law enforcement agencies, the Michigan National Guard and the US Coast Guard, operates a fleet of aircraft based out of Lansing’s Capital Region International Airport.
Aircraft flown by the Aviation Unit include a Beech King Air 90, Cessna 182R, a Bell 206L3, two Bell 407s, two Bell UH-1H Hueys, and three Aeryon SkyRanger Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
The Aviation Unit’s Sergeant Matt Rogers was awarded the Salute to Excellence Law Enforcement Award by Helicopter Association International in January 2022, for his contributions ‘to the promotion and advancement of helicopters in support of law enforcement activities’.
