PAG acquires Velocity Aerospace Group
The Georgia-based MRO and logistics provider will add around 140 employees and three new certified repair stations in California and Florida to its business
Maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and logistics provider Precision Aviation Group (PAG), based in the US state of Georgia, has announced its acquisition of fellow MRO firm Velocity Aerospace Group.
Velocity, which is based in Texas, and operates three Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified repair stations in California and Florida, provides MRO and manufacturing services in the fields of avionics, cockpit panels, electrical systems, fire protection, interior lights, multi-layer circuit boards and waste assemblies.
Across its entire operation, Velocity employs around 140 personnel, performing over 25,000 annual repairs, operating out of over 10,200m2 of MRO facilities.
According to David Mast, President and CEO of PAG, the acquisition offers the company an expanded ‘avionics and DER repair portfolio’, as well as enabling them to ‘enter the manufacturing space’.
“With the Burbank and Van Nuys facilities added to our existing operations in Long Beach and Camarillo, as well as the new facility in Fort Lauderdale, we now have ‘Next Generation Avionics MRO Centers of Excellence’ in Southern California and South Florida that allows us to better serve our customers,” he said.
PAG previously acquired South American MRO provider EFIX Aviation Support in November 2020.
