PHI Air Medical celebrates 20 years at its base in Victoria, Texas
PHI Air Medical, the air ambulance services subsidiary of PHI Group, is celebrating 20 years at its base in Victoria, Texas
The milestone is being celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the base on 8 April, in partnership with the Victoria Chamber of Commerce. The base will be open to the public as part of the celebrations.
The base serves 113,724 members of the PHI Cares membership program across the US state of Texas, who are covered for out-of-pocket expenses while being transported by a PHI Air Medical helicopter.
The base also participates in, and hosts, a range of community programs, including landing zone safety classes, emergency medical technician (EMT) refreshers, and pre-hospital critical care classes.
“Over the past 20 years, our team has been steadfast in our commitment to providing the highest level of care to patients in their most vulnerable moments,” said Wayne Mallick, Air Medical Base Supervisor at the Victoria base. “We are immensely grateful for the trust placed in us by healthcare partners, first responders, and the community at large.”
The Saudi Red Crescent has successfully conducted a test landing on a new helipad at the Masjid al-Haram mosque in Mecca.
