PWI to be worldwide distributor of KADEX LED wing tip light assembly
The light assembly, designed for the Beechcraft King Air 350, has STC certification and shines around five times brighter than its traditional bulb-based equivalents
Kansas-based aviation technology firm PWI has been named as the worldwide, in-stock distributor of the KADEX LED wing tip light assembly, by Canadian parts distributor KADEX Aero Supply.
The light assembly, designed for the Beechcraft King Air 350, has supplemental type certificate approval. PWI is the original equipment manufacturer for most Beechcraft King Air aircraft.
The LED assembly offers improved lifespan, durability and reliability, with a reduced weight and power consumption compared with traditional bulbs. In addition, PWI says that the assembly also reduces the chance of long-term lens deterioration.
The assembly offers 70 per cent less power consumption than bulb equivalents
PWI says that the KADEX LED wing tip light assembly shines approximately five times brighter than bulb equivalents, with a 70 per cent reduction in power consumption. The assembly comes with a five-year warranty, and is described as a ‘form, fit and function drop-in replacement.’
“This LED upgrade provides trouble free operation for King Air 350 owners,” said Robi Lorik, President and CEO of PWI. “The Assembly improves the pilot’s vision of his surroundings, while also improving his visibility to other aircraft.”

PWI previously received Federal Aviation Administration parts manufacture approval certification for its new LED ice light in December 2021.
