David Thompson REBTECH

New Director David Thompson offers over 45 years of aviation industry experience

REB Technologies (REBTECH) have announced the appointment of David Thompson as the company’s new Director of Business Development and Strategy.

Thompson contributes over 45 years of aviation career experience to REBTECH, having previously worked in a range of roles for companies such as Vice President for Business Development at Vector Aerospace, Chief Operating Officer with Vallair, and Head of Sales Operations for Asia and PAC for Heli-One, as well as serving for 27 years as an Aircraft Engineer for the British Royal Air Force. Thompson is also the Founder and CEO of Taranis Aerospace Consultancy.

“I am thrilled to be joining at a time of significant growth”, said David Thompson. “This move signifies an exciting step for me, as the company looks to further expand its successful NVIS offering into the Aerial Fire Fighting market.”

A vital link to REBTECH’s future success

The company, a manufacturer of Night Vision Illumination Systems (NVIS), says that Thompson’s appointment ‘marks an important next stage in the expansion of the company’s international business strategy, highlighting the REBTECH commitment to NVIS’.

REBTECH is currently expanding its operations with new initiatives to tackle parts obsolescence as a compliment to its primary business focus, and the company says that Thompson’s ‘vast experience and in-depth knowledge of the aviation global parts business is seen as a vital link to REBTECH’s future success’.

“We are delighted that David has joined REBTECH,” said Richard Borkowski, President of REB Technologies. “His direct experience of emerging global markets and extensive product knowledge will undoubtedly prove vital in expanding our portfolio of services. However, it is his in-depth knowledge of the aerial firefighting industry that will keep REBTECH at the forefront of the industry.”

“To compliment REBTECH’s team of highly skilled engineers David’s significant experience and contacts throughout the MRO world, will help support REBTECH’s NVIS modification portfolio as well as grow REBTECH’s reputation with fixed and rotary wing operators globally,” added Jeff Stubbs, REBTECH Senior Vice President.
