Recoil Aerospace firefighting system nears final approval
The manufacturer is now accepting deposits for orders of its T1000-E fire suppression system
Recoil Aerospace has announced that it is close to receiving a supplemental type certificate (STC) from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its Tsunami T1000-E wildfire suppression system.
The company stated that the anticipated STC is nearing final approval, following “months of rigorous testing and evaluation”.
Recoil reported that it has already commenced production of the 3,785L T1000-E tanks, and is now accepting deposits for orders.
Three aviation providers were also announced as launch customers for the system: Precision, XP Services, and Heli Austria.
The system weighs 250kg and offers a fill time of 35–40 seconds, with a drop time of five seconds.
Recoil previously won a contract to supply two of its T1000-E aerial fire suppression systems to Korea 119 Emergency Services in October of last year.
