Global manufacturers, service providers and organizations from the aviation industry will attend

The aviation trade show AERO is taking place from 19-22 April 2023, in Friedrichshafen, Germany.

The 29th AERO will be attended by global businesses, service providers and organizations in the aviation industry. These include manufacturers of piston and turboprop aircraft, ultralights, light-sport aircraft (LSA), gliders, helicopters and business jets.

Suppliers who produce avionics, engines, safety systems and other components and accessories have also confirmed their attendance. Unmanned aviation, like drones, will have its own area called ‘AERO drones’ in hall A2.

One of the key themes of AERO is innovation. For the past 12 years, the e-flight-expo has had a separate trade show focus, where manufacturers and providers of aircraft and services related to electric flight present the latest innovations.

Tobias Bretzel, AERO Project Manager at fairnamic GmbH, the trade show organizer, said: “Aviation is in a phase of transformation, determined by the thrive for more sustainability, shortage of talent and digitalization. Among other things, we are responding to this with the ‘AERO Sustainable Aviation Trail’, introduced last year and showing the solutions with which the various manufacturers are taking on the challenges and shaping the future of aviation.”

Topics such as airspace restructuring in Europe, hydrogen as an aviation fuel, drones in public service use and Business Aviation will feature.

There will also be a career day on 21 April for companies and qualified personnel to network.

This year’s AERO trade show focused on sustainability.
