REVA Air Ambulance and Tropic Ocean Airways announce partnership
The companies will provide expedited medical evacuation services
Tropic Ocean Airways, an amphibious airline, and fixed-wing medical air transport company REVA have partnered to provide expedited, full service medevac for patients in the Caribbean and other remote locations.
The alliance offers over 40 years of combined seaplane, aviation and medevac experience.
REVA’s medical crew is on-call 24/7, comprising doctors, nurses, paramedics and respiratory therapists trained for critical care crisis situations. They have adapted to amphibious aircraft transport and will work with Tropic Ocean to begin collaborative medevac services this month.
Stuart Hayman, CEO of REVA, said: "We are pleased to work in partnership with world-class seaplane charter company Tropic Ocean, to provide a unique one-of-a-kind service that creates greater access to patients and clients in hard-to-reach places throughout the Caribbean and Eastern United States.”
Tropic Ocean has fitted its entire fleet of 14 seaplanes with essential medical equipment. Its Cessna Grand Caravan EX amphibious planes can land on water or a runway, offering increased rescue opportunities.
“This partnership will save lives,” said Rob Ceravolo, Tropic Ocean Airways CEO. “Whether on a cruise ship, remote island, resort or private yacht, no patient is inaccessible. We know that time is a critical factor when a medical incident occurs. Tropic Ocean’s collaboration with REVA ensures a rapid response so that clients can get the life-saving care they need.”
