SAFE maintenance stands

The adjustable stands were customised for compatibility with their Airbus H145 aircraft

California’s Riverside County Sheriff Department has received delivery of new, adjustable maintenance stands for its Airbus H145 aircraft from SAFE Structure Designs.

The custom stands will enable technicians to perform maintenance on the engines, transmission and main rotor systems of for Riverside County’s twin-engine H145 rotorcraft.

The three stands are included as part of the maintenance support set, including:

  • The main rotor and transmission stand - which can be used for maintenance or flight line pre-flight inspection, and features tool trays and anti-fatigue mats
  • The battery lift stand -which features an actuating shelf for the easy removal and installation of batteries, and which can also be used for tail rotor maintenance
  • The engine step stool – which enables easy access for engine maintenance.

Despite being primarily designed for H145 helicopters, the stands can also be adjusted for use on other aircraft when necessary.
