RSG President Mike Gallegos dies suddenly
US-based maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) firm Rotorcraft Services Group (RSG) has announced the death of its President, Mike Gallegos
In a statement, the company said: “Mike’s sudden death on Tuesday March 5th was an unexpected shock to all of us.”
They added that Gallegos had spent the previous week at the HAI HELI-EXPO conference and trade show, “speaking with many of his long-term business friends and making new acquaintances in the industry that he loved and was a key member of”.
Gallegos was a “seasoned industry veteran with 29 years of experience in aviation”, the statement continued, “with a passion for it like no other”. Starting his career at Heli-Dyne, Gallegos subsequently spent the last 15 years working at RSG, where he eventually rose to be appointed as the company’s President last year. RSG provides specialty services, one of which is the modification and retrofitting of helicopter medical interiors.
RSG also noted that Gallegos was an “industry thought leader for aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, and developing innovative solutions, including STC development for new products”.
Gallegos leaves behind his wife, Neal Gallegos, his daughter Michaela, step-daughter Sydney, and niece Amanda.
