Six new H145Ms for Brunei
The Brunei Ministry of Defence has awarded Airbus Helicopters a contract to supply six helicopters to the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF)
The new H145Ms will replace the RBAirF’s old BO105 fleet, and will enhance the air force’s operational capabilities for a range of mission types, such as “close air support and aerial observation”.
The aircraft are powered by twin Turbomeca Arriel 2E engines with full authority digital engine control (FADEC), and feature a Helionix digital avionics suite with four-axis autopilot.
“We are greatly honoured by the selection of the H145M to support the Royal Brunei Air Force’s expanded missions,” said Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters. “The H145M is well regarded for its high performance and versatility, and we are confident that it will bring a step change in operational readiness to Brunei.”
The UK Ministry of Defence also recently ordered a fleet of six more H145s.
