Skyservice opens new base in Vancouver

Skyservice Air Ambulance has announced the expansion of its services into western Canada, with the launch of a new base at Vancouver International Airport.

Canadian air ambulance operator Skyservice Air Ambulance has announced the expansion of its services into western Canada, with the launch of a new base at Vancouver International Airport. The company says this will offer its clients a different option for repatriation to and from the US and Asia.

The new base will be led by ‘some familiar faces’, asserted David Ewing, Executive Vice-President of Global Markets. Dr Neilson McLean will be taking the position of Associate Medical Director; an industry veteran, he has over 12 years of experience in the air medical transport sector – including two years as medical director for a worldwide assistance company.

Mirka Dedinska will be taking the role of Medevac Case Manager, helping to compliment the operations arm of the company already established at its Montreal base.

“We will continue to expand in the global repatriation marketplace and think our customers will be very excited with our next base of operations launch in the near future,” the company said. It has been performing adult, neonatal and paediatric patient transport for nearly 30 years, and has attained the highest level of EURAMI accreditation, as well as licensure in the states of Florida and Nevada in the US for air ambulance operations.
