Under the agreement, Sloane Helicopters will provide maintenance, repair and oversight of two AW169 helicopters belonging to Essex & Herts Air Ambulance

UK-based Sloane Helicopters has been awarded the maintenance and support contract for UK charity air ambulance operator Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT) and its two AW169s. The agreement provides full maintenance, repair, and fleet oversight, enhancing aircraft safety, reliability, and availability for critical care missions.

George George, Managing Director of Sloane, commented: “We are excited that EHAAT have put their trust in the Sloane team. Building on our experience with AW169s and HEMS operations, we look forward to supporting the charity and allowing EHAAT to remain focused on their core mission of providing lifesaving emergency care.”

Bill Long, Aviation Director at EHAAT, added: “After a thorough procurement process, I am delighted to welcome Sloane to the team. They stood out not just for their cultural alignment with EHAAT’s values but for their exceptional technical expertise, which will be crucial in maintaining our aircraft to the highest safety and operational standards.”

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service recently announced a new training partnership to strengthen critical care on the Isle of Wight, UK.
