Smith Myers and HAT.tec integrate ARTEMIS with SCALE for police helicopters

Smith Myers Communications and HAT.tec have integrated the ARTEMIS Mobile Phone Detection & Location System (MPDLS) with the HAT.tec mission management system SCALE across the helicopter fleet of a major European law enforcement agency.

The integration enables ARTEMIS mobile phone detection and geolocation data to be displayed directly within the SCALE mission system, allowing operators to view ARTEMIS outputs alongside other aircraft sensors and mission data on a single fused display.

By consolidating multiple sensor inputs within one interface, the system reduces operator workload while enhancing situational awareness. Crews can interpret and act on information from multiple sensors without managing separate systems.

The collaboration reflects the growing role of sensor fusion and integrated mission management in airborne law enforcement and public safety aviation.

Smith Myers also recently secured an Airbus Helicopters contract for ARTEMIS.
