Shannon Schell joins the company from his previous role as President and CEO of REVA

Spectrum Aeromed, a manufacturer of medical interiors and equipment for aircraft, has announced the appointment of Shannon Schell as its new President.

Schell previously served as President and CEO of air ambulance provider REVA, and brings 30 years of leadership experience to the role, in fields such as aviation, healthcare, and logistics.

He has also previously worked for VTX1 Companies, UniTek Global Services, and UPS, and holds an MBA from Bellevue University, a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of North Dakota, and a Six Sigma Green Belt.

Schell replaces outgoing President Chase McCown, who has led Spectrum Aeromed since 2022. McCown is now transitioning into a new role as Managing Director of Heartland Partners, Spectrum Aeromed’s ownership group. He will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors.

“Shannon’s combination of air medical industry knowledge, operational leadership, and strategic vision makes him the ideal leader for Spectrum Aeromed’s next phase of growth,” said McCown. “I look forward to continuing to support the company’s success through my new role with Heartland Partners and as a board member.”

Spectrum Aeromed received approval for its emergency medical services (EMS) configuration of the Pilatus PC-24 from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in November 2024.
