TracPlus launches FireFlyte digital platform for aerial firefighting
Mission-critical intelligence solutions developer TracPlus has announced the launch of a new digital platform to support aerial firefighting operations
The software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform is designed to offer real-time intelligence to firefighting agencies, improving coordination, safety, and resource management.
FireFlyte features four modules:
- Aerial fire – which tracks fill rates, drop counts, volumes, and mission performance
- Operations – which offers real-time flight monitoring, engine cycle tracking, automated daily summaries, and fleet performance insights
- Safety and risk management – which enhances risk mitigation through real-time standard operating procedure (SOP) deviation alerts, ADS-B integration, and 3D terrain analysis
- Finance – which provides accurate cost tracking, downtime monitoring, and financial insights.
The platform is cloud-based and hardware-agnostic, allowing it to integrate with existing tracking systems, application programming interfaces (API), and data feeds.
“With wildfire seasons becoming extended and more severe, firefighting agencies need real-time intelligence to improve coordination, enhance safety, and optimize resource management,” said Todd O’Hara, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at TracPlus. “By transforming their operational data into actionable insights, we enable teams to respond more effectively and safely, unlocking better mission outcomes for their teams and the communities they serve.”
TracPlus recently announced a partnership with special missions operator Avincis to implement its solutions across a fleet of around 220 aircraft.
