Trakka to provide solutions to Spokane County
Trakka Systems has announced that it will provide a Total Mission Solution Package to Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO)
The company, which specializes in vision enhancement solutions for aviation purposes, will provide a range of tech to the police force that operates in the US state of Washington for use by its air support unit (ASU).
The package will include a TrakkaCam TC-300 electro-optical/infrared multispectral imaging system; a gyro-stabilized surveillance camera; the multispectral TrakkaBeam TLX searchlight; and the TrakkaMaps TM-100 Moving Map and Video Management System.
The equipment offers ‘advanced image processing modes, such as image blending, split screen, and picture-in-detail,’ allowing users to extract details that would otherwise go undetected by a single sensor, alongside moving target detection (MTI).
Spokane ASU provides valuable search and rescue, fugitive searching, fire suppression, surveillance, homeland security critical infrastructure checks, natural disaster damage assessment, and patrol services to the Inland Northwest. The new equipment is expected to significantly enhance its operational capabilities.
The TLX is a xenon searchlight which allows ‘up to six different filters [to be] selected in less than one second’ – offering ‘covert infrared illumination, visible red, green, amber and white light options.
A fleet of four Bell 407GXis recently ordered by the Polish National Police will also be equipped with a suite of Trakka Systems solutions.
