Mexican air services provider Transportes Aéreos Pegaso (TAP) has purchased a new H45 Level Seven Flight Training Device (FTD) from simulator specialist Entrol

The device, which is based on the Airbus H145 D3, will be installed at TAP’s base in the upcoming months and is the first of its kind in Mexico.

The H45 simulator accurately recreates all functions of flying an H145, including the four-axis automatic pilot system, while incorporating flight data gathered from real flight tests performed by the Entrol engineering team.

It features a spherical 200ºx70º visual system, a replica of the Helionix integrated avionics in its cockpit, a vibration system, plus adjacent debriefing station to review past exercises.

The FTD will allow TAP crew to perform all training in-house for the first time. The company specializes in the provision of offshore flight services to oil platforms, including executive transport, cargo flights and air ambulance services.

Entrol confirmed in March that it is also supplying simulators based on the Airbus H125 and H145 to Air Corporate, an Italian operator.
