TrustFlight adopts FRAT capability
The digital flight risk assessment tool (FRAT) will be added to TrustFlight’s portfolio of integrated safety solutions for both fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft
Karl Steeves, CEO of the technology innovator TrustFlight, said: “The recent rise in aviation incidents highlights the need for proactive measures to reduce risk and increase safety.
“Our software is designed to increase aircraft availability while integrating critical safety processes – we see FRAT as an important addition to the TrustFlight ecosystem.”
FRAT is an integrated piece of TrustFlight’s electronic logbook (ELB); therefore, it provides operators with a means for pilots to assess risks for go/no-go decision-making from the cockpit.
Its ability to evaluate a wide array of factors, including weather conditions, aircraft readiness, pilot experience, and airport characteristics, aids FRAT flight operations teams when prioritizing safety in the decision-making prior to takeoff.
FRAT assessments are customizable by the operator to ensure that all flights meet stringent requirements to reduce the likelihood of incidents and accidents.
“To truly unlock safety, critical safety applications should be integrated with each other,” concluded Steeves. “That’s the philosophy behind TrustFlight as we look forward to being a core part of the safety ecosystem within North America.”
Late last year, it was announced that Turkish air ambulance operator Redstar Aviation selected TrustFlight’s Centrik software to streamline management of its fleet.
