Vislink takes over BMS
The company will use Broadcast Microwave Services’ extensive customer network to further consolidate its position in the downlink market
Vislink Technologies, a developer of video downlinks for law enforcement and defense aviation, has announced the acquisition of BMS, a California-based provider of microwave equipment for video and data transmission.
Vislink has acquired the majority assets of BMS – a move that will reinforce the company’s position in the airborne video downlink systems (AVDS) sector. This includes access to BMS’s extensive customer network.
“BMS is a well-established international player in the AVDS space,” said Mickey Miller, CEO of Vislink. “By adding its assets to Vislink, we are consolidating the market and extending our position as the leading worldwide provider of AVDS products. We look forward to driving new sales to a larger customer base with an increased focus on the growing public safety market. With the addition of BMS assets, we are even better positioned to scale our business in the growing MilGov sector.”
In January of this year, Vislink announced AVDS orders worth a combined $2 million from several North American law enforcement agencies.
