Wingcopter wins German startup award
Drone manufacturer Wingcopter has won the 2023 Gründerszene Award for German startup companies
The company – which specializes in the development of drone-based logistics networks for medical supplies and other goods – was chosen from a list of 15 pre-selected companies in a public voting process.
“Being voted Startup of the Year by the Gründerszene readers means a lot to us,” said Tom Plümmer, Co-Founder and CEO of Wingcopter. “It recognizes the years of hard work invested by the entire Wingcopter team.”
He added: “Each of us is putting so much passion into revolutionizing the transportation of goods over the most difficult mile through fast, efficient and environmentally friendly drone deliveries. This award gives us even more energy to keep pushing forward in the years to come.”
Wingcopter recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Siemens Healthineers to develop an ‘integrated drone delivery solution’ for the transport of diagnostic materials and other medical supplies in Africa.
