Ziyan unveils new cargo drone
The uncrewed rotorcraft is capable of carrying a payload of 21kg
The drone, known as the known as the Grey Whale G1, is manufactured by Chinese drone developer Ziyan.
The aircraft is capable of transporting cargo across various kinds of inaccessible terrain, including islands and mountains – offering a more efficient and cost-effective way of transporting vital supplies to remote communities.
Drones are becoming an increasingly popular choice for the distribution of medical equipment and supplies to, and the collection of samples from, clinics in rural areas.
Fellow drone firm Swoop Aero completed a 30-day drone trial distributing vaccinations to healthcare facilities in Ethiopia in December 2023.
