Hoverfly Technologies, a US drone manufacturer, has revealed its new all-weather LiveSky SENTRY line of tether-powered unmanned aircraft systems.
The company said that the LiveSky SENTRY is a military-grade drone and is designed to meet IP54 and MIL-STD-810 standards, which means it has a good level of protection against extreme weather conditions.
“Compliance to these standards means our military, public safety and commercial security customers who need the ability to operate in harsh environments can rely on the new battle-ready and tested tether-powered UAS, the LiveSky SENTRY,” said Hoverfly’s CEO Rob Topping.
The drone is also compatible with Hoverfly’s SkyBox, a new precision landing platform. Coming in either an enclosed cover or uncovered design, the SkyBox is an autonomous enterprise solution that is controlled either through cloud-based software or an SDK kit for seamless integration. It can operate anywhere, according to Hoverfly, including form the back of a pick-up truck.
