AMS Heli Design has unveiled a new concept for its Neonatal Transport Deck.
Weighing in at only 26 pounds, the new deck is made entirely of carbon fibre and able to accommodate any type of isolette thanks to adapting mounts. It is also able to incorporate up to five equipment rails to assist with the safe transportation of medical equipment.
“We have developed and engineered the system in co-operation with a US operator for several months to reach this design, which meets and exceeds any of their expectations,” said Andrea Girolin, CEO of AMS Heli Design. “The deck has received an immediate extreme interest and attention from operators, and this is because it’s unique, it’s new, and it’s light.”
The deck can be opened at either 90 or 180 degrees thanks to six retractable handles. The current standard puck system contributes to its aircraft retention system. It is compatible with the AMS receiver designed for Leonardo and Airbus Helicopters.
