Australian Army awards aeromedical evacuation contract
CHC Helicopter signs to provide Australian Army with aeromedical evacuation and crash response support.
CHC Helicopter has announced its inking of a deal with the Australian Army to provide aeromedical evacuation and crash response support for deployments throughout Australia. The 21-month contract commences on 1 October and runs up to 30 June 2018. CHC said it currently provides search and rescue services to the Royal Australian Air Force and will use that fleet to provide services to Army.
The medical team for the contract, including a dedicated doctor and paramedic, will be provided by Medical Rescue Air Ambulance, a current provider of CHC.
“We are honoured that Australian Army has chosen CHC to provide their aeromedical evacuation and crash response support while their soldiers are on training deployment," said Nick Mair, CHC regional director Asia Pacific.
