San Bernandino County Sheriff’s Department gains two H125s
The new vehicles will be used to perform high-altitude rescues, fire suppression and highway patrols, say San Bernandino.
Airbus Helicopters has announced that San Bernandino County Sheriff’s Department, based in California, US, has acquired two of its Airbus Helicopters H125 AStars. One of the helicopters will be exhibited at the 2017 Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA) Annual Conference and Expo this week in Reno, Nevada, Airbus announced.
The new vehicles will be used to perform high-altitude rescues, fire suppression and highway patrols, say San Bernandino. Their acquisition is part of the service’s long-term fleet update, with the service currently operating six AS350 B3 helicopters.
“The H125 offers the versatile, multi-mission platform we need,” San Bernandino Sheriff’s Capt. Jeff Rose said. “This was the right choice for us. We are excited to continue our long relationship with Airbus Helicopters.”
