IMAE holds aeromedical evacuation course

Brazil’s Brigadeer Roberto Teixeira Institute of Aerospace Medical (IMAE), located in Rio de Janeiro, held the second Aeromedical Evacuation Course (CEVAM-2017/2) from 21 to 24 November. The students included personnel from the Aeronautics Command (COMAER) belonging to several military organisations, as well as two Brazilian Army soldiers and two members of the Rio de Janeiro State Fire Brigade.

Lt Nurse Michelle Taverna Bordin of the Curitiba Health Squadron commented: “The IMAE is to be congratulated because the knowledge and credibility of the content taught and the love with which the instructors dedicate themselves to teaching is clear.”

The objective of the course is to train physicians, nurses and nursing technicians in aeromedical evacuation in an operational and tactical environment.
