HEMS in the Swiss Alps

Air Zermatt has over 50 years of experience in the Zermatt region of Switzerland. With a fleet of 11 helicopters, it offers rescue operations around the clock, as well as a variety of transport and tourist flights.
Its paramedics and clinicians are all specialists in anesthesia, intensive care and emergency medicine, providing essential emergency pre-hospital care in the Swiss mountain ranges.

Air Zermatt have a strong social media presence with 70,000 followers on Instagram alone. This is not surprising given their idyllic locale. Beautiful photos are a natural byproduct. As well as their helicopter emergency medical services, helicopter external sling load operations, sightseeing tours, heliskiing trips and taxi flights, Air Zermatt also has a world-class training center. They run a comprehensive program for pilots, emergency physicians and paramedics, covering diverse courses from Transport Driver Licensing Ordinance to summer Mountain Emergency Medicine or advanced fire services for working with helicopters.
