ASU - NVA Call for Nominations 19

The Night Vision Awards selection committee have announced that they are extending the call for nominations for the 2019 Night Vision Awards Show to Thursday 18 July.

The show is to be held in Omaha, Nebraska at the Airborne Public Safety Association’s (APSA) annual APSCON conference on Thursday 18 July, and nominations will now be accepted until 28 June 2019.

Night Vision Awards emcee Scott Emerine said, “We extended the deadline to give more time for nominators to make nominations because we want to be sure to recognise as may operators as possible.”

The Night Vision Awards celebrate operational leadership and excellence in the use of night vision across North America and around the world. The show is a biennial event, and this year the awards will take place on Thursday 18 July in the CHI Health Center Junior Ballroom between 16:30 and 17:30 hrs. The ceremonies will be hosted by Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Night Flight Concepts, Vertical Magazine and Rotorcraft Pro magazine.

The Night Vision Award categories include:

  • Five-year service award
  • 10-year service award
  • 15-year service award
  • 20-year service award (NEW)
  • Community Awareness award
  • Mark of Excellence award
  • International Advancement Award

“There are so many unheralded things that helicopter pilots and crews do every day that saves lives,” said Emerine back in April. “We look forward to honoring some of them at this award ceremony.”
