Air Transport Europe orders fifth Bell 429
The helicopter will support the expansion of the Slovakian air ambulance firm’s operations
Air Transport Europe has placed an order with manufacturer Bell Textron for the supply of a fifth Bell 429 in helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) configuration.
The order makes the Slovakia-based air ambulance provider Europe’s largest Bell helicopter operator in the HEMS sector.
Since its inception, Air Transport Europe has expanded its operations to seven bases throughout Slovakia and two locations in neighboring Czech Republic. With the addition of its fifth Bell 429, Air Transport Europe plans to expand its HEMS operations in region.
“The addition of the Bell 429 underscores the company’s commitment to safety, innovation, and delivering reliable helicopter emergency service. The new aircraft will be customized to meet our exact medical and operational needs, ensuring optimal functionality for patient care and mission efficiency,” said Milan Hoholik, CEO of Air Transport Europe.
US air ambulance operator Global Medical Response recently ordered seven Bell 429s.
